I’ve never taken an indoor cycling class before. What should I expect?
If you are a begginer, you MUST show up 15 minutes before class and let the instructor know this is your first time. You will get set up on the bike and learn the combination of Letter/Number for the height of your seat and distance between you and the handlebars.
Do I need to bring a heart rate monitor?
Only if your doctor advices you to do it or if you have a condition (you must get it cleared with your physician) Other wise we don’t look at that. You will learn to push yourself beyond what you “think” you can do.
Do you rent shoes?
No, you have to bring your own shoes, towel and water. We have a vending machine outside the classroom if you forget your refreshments.
Do I need cycling shoes?
We highly suggest to get cycling shoes since your workout will achieve it’s peak only with the right equipment.
What should I wear?
We strongly recommend shorts or pants that go pass your knee to avoid chaffing between your legs and the bike seat. Believe me, you do not want it. Try to always wear dryfit or light tops. Our sessions are know for getting really sweaty and you want to be comfortable at all ‘uncomfortable times”
How long should I wait between a meal and a cycling session?
All bodies react different and they digest different as well. If it is your first time PLEASE make sure you start hydrating from the night before and have a small 150 to a 200 calories snack 1 hour before class.
Do I need to be in shape to join a class?
No, all levels are welcome. We have only 15 bikes in the classroom, that allows our instructors to monitor each student making sure they workout according to their capabilities.
